MUZO GIKO HILL
Tasting notes : Fig, Mapple Taffy, Candied Orange
This is our third coffee coming from Baho Coffee, from their tiniest washing station, Muzo Giko Hill. 10 farmers are involved in this group and the average number of trees per farmer is 388, with some having as few as 60 trees. The result is an annual production of exportable grade coffee under 300 bags !
There's something priceless in buying those beans, not just because they are in limited quantity, but because we are able to trace easily all the information about it, even if it comes from a really small farm. Moreover, Emmanuel Rusatira, the owner, is dedicated to enlighten the farmers of his region and pays prices in cherry sometimes up to 80% over the national farmgate price.
We taste round notes of fig, mapple taffy and candied orange in the cup, perfect match for the sugar shack season in Quebec !
